MY Bijoux is the first delivery in the new Moonen semi-custom Caribbean line, called Matica. The 30-metre motoryacht was designed by Rene van der Velden and features stunning curved windows on the main and bridge decks, a finely recessed hull and a modern yet timeless aesthetic.
Moonen Shipyards
Located in Den Bosch in the Netherlands, Moonen Shipyards launched their first yacht in 1963. Gaining a reputation for quality and service, the shipyard soon grew in sophistication and expanded its client base across the globe. Today, Moonen is one of the world’s foremost builders of motoryachts between 65 and 150 ft.
MATICA
Named after an island in the Caribbean, Matica is a twin-screw, two-and-a-half deck displacement motor yacht, with sun deck and raised pilot house. The stunning yacht sleeps up to 8 guests in an owners cabin and three spacious guest cabins. The round bilge of this fast displacement hull gives her a very economical fuel consumption and long range at lower speeds.
A perfect indoor climate
Bijoux’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems provide climate control, keeping owners, crew and guests comfortable all year long. Proper ventilation is also essential to the maintenance of yachts, reducing moisture and humidity and maintaining a drier climate onboard. Heinen & Hopman was selected to deliver the following equipment:
- Marine air chiller
- Fan coils
- Fresh air system
- Mechanical ventilation exhaust
- Galley fire dampers
- Engine room fire dampers
