Refit and repair
Numerous superyacht refit and repair shipyards are located in the South of France, offering a wide range of refit activities, from minor maintenance to a complete refit. Compared to new construction yachts, converting an existing vessel may be a better choice budget and time wise, while offering a comparable end result. Oftentimes yachts are refitted simply to keep up with an owner’s evolving needs. For example, the yacht owner may desire a more sustainable yacht and requests an HVAC upgrade (40 – 60% of the yacht’s total energy consumption is used for operating the HVAC system).
