Heinen & Hopman has been selected to provide reliable HCAC solutions for new rescue fleet KNMR
Heinen & Hopman has received an order by Dok en Scheepsbouw Woudsend B.V. to supply the HVAC systems for a new fleet of 13 rescue vessels for the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM). The first vessel is scheduled to be delivered at the end of 2027, with the full series of 13 ships to be completed by 2035.
Designed for trust, built for extreme conditions
At sea, reliability is everything for the KNRM, who operate in some of the most demanding conditions. A safe and comfortable working environment is essential. That is exactly where our HVAC systems make the difference. Our systems ensure a constant supply of fresh air, effective dehumidification of windows, cooling and controlled removal of moisture. Even when the vessel is exposed to heavy motion, large waves and rapidly changing weather conditions, the system must continue to perform.
“Operational reliability is crucial. The volunteers who put their lives on the line in the roughest sea conditions must be able to fully rely on our systems.”
